The 2013 Red Burgundies (Jan 2015)

Full red with a slight haze. Musky, leesy aromas of dark cherry, graphite, licorice and herbs. Very rich but youthfully monolithic; boasts plenty of power but shows less precision and lift than the Chapelle. Today the wine’s tannins shut down the finish. This fruit got a cold maceration and was vinified with a portion of its stems, noted Frédéric Barnier; Jadot takes possession of the barrels in December.
