The 2014 White Burgundies: What’s Not To Like? (Sep 2016)

Discreet scents of white peach, lemon and white flowers. Less fat but more brisk than the Clos de la Garenne, with juicy lemony acidity framing and carrying the stone fruit and floral flavors. Boasts superb precision and cut but this salty, gripping wine is almost painful today and needs a good five years of cellaring. Barnier notes that this wine is from a very stony site close to En La Richarde and thus not really classic Folatières.
