The Annual Red Bordeaux Report (May 2003)

Moderately saturated ruby-red. Aromas of raspberry, bitter chocolate, mocha, espresso and licorice, with a cool minty component. Offers good texture and breadth but the tight, primary flavors come off as a bit tart. Rather austere for young La Lagune, with fresh acids and dusty, tongue-coating tannins. Finishes with good mouth coverage and persistence. Will this fill out in barrel?
