The Annual Red Bordeaux Report (May 2003)

(60% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot and 10% cabernet franc) Moderately saturated medium ruby. Cassis, blackberry, chocolate and licorice on the nose. Then sweet, smooth and pliant in the mouth, with a lovely lush texture firmed by harmonious acidity. Expands nicely on the back half, finishing with late-hitting tannins. (A first sample showed distinct herbaceousness on the nose but a satisfying, surprisingly fat texture.) Other Promising Wines of the Medoc
