The Annual Red Bordeaux Report (May 2004)

(a blend based on 65% cabernet sauvignon; just 35 hectoliters per hectare produced) Bright ruby. Vibrant aromas of black cherry, licorice and menthol. Dense but juicy, with brooding, slightly medicinal black cherry and licorice flavors. As with so many other St. Estephes, this boasts exceptional flesh and sweetness in 2003, and enough material to support its tannins.
