The Annual Red Bordeaux Report (May 2005)

Red-ruby. Bright yet exotic aromas of black raspberry, blackberry, truffle, mocha, minerals and caramel; very Pomerol. Then sweet, supple and showy in the middle palate, with a high-toned caramel quality sexing up the berry flavors. Nicely concentrated and quite long, with very firm tannic spine. Showing well today, but the 2001 L’Eglise-Clinet is a more classic, more opulent expression of this property.
