The F-Word: Bordeaux 2017 (May 2018)

The 2017 de Pressac was not affected by frost and was green harvested because of the potentially large crop. Matured in 50% new oak, it has a well defined bouquet with nicely integrated oak: blackberry, raspberry and light cedar scents developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, not a deep Saint-Émilion but harmonious with a smooth, dark chocolate tinged finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. Maybe it just misses a little length but it is a well made Château de Pressac.
