The Top Clarets of 2006 (May 2009)

Bright red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry, plum, licorice, violet, coffee and mocha; very cabernet franc. Lush, rich and fine-grained, with lovely inner-mouth spicy and floral lift. The most serious and concentrated of Jonathan Maltus’s group of 2006s, this should really be held for at least a few years. The sweet finishing flavors dust the palate.
