Value Through Time: Burgundy 1932-2016 (Aug 2021)

The 2007 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru was served from magnum. Quite rich and honeyed on the nose, it offers some tempting brioche and grilled almond and coconut scents with time. The palate is well balanced with good weight. A sensual Corton-Charlemagne that is texturally satisfying, although it was surpassed by a magnum of the following vintage that showed more nerve and complexity. This is ready to be drunk now. Tasted at the Sanglier dinner at the Hameau de Barberon.
