Very good deep red. Pungent mineral and oak spice nose. Firm on the palate, but seems only moderately ripe and lacking in nuance. This has an austerity without offering the promise of richness and personality to come. Where’s the sweetness of ripe fruit? Finishes with rather hard tannins.
