The Annual Red Bordeaux Report (May 2003)

Good medium ruby-red. Slightly medicinal aromas of blueberry, dark chocolate and game, with a liqueur-like exotic quality. Tightly wound and penetrating; in a rather brutal stage today, and not showing the lushness or sweetness of the vintage. Finishes firmly tannic, with a note of licorice.

1999, 1998 and 1997 Bordeaux (May 2000)

Medium ruby. Expressive aromas of plum, currant, game, leather and mint. Supple in the middle, with modest sweetness and depth. Finishes slightly dry, with a hint of unabsorbed acidity.
