The Consistently Delectable 2014 Red Burgundies (Jan 2016)

(this fruit was picked later than the Vigne au Saint and was vinified with 10% whole clusters): Bright red with ruby tones. Distinctly wilder on the nose than the Vigne au Saint, offering scents of cherry, raspberry and animal fur. At once juicier and deeper, displaying terrific flavor intensity and inner-mouth perfume but kept tight…

Focus on Sauternes (Jul 1998)

Straw-gold color. Deep aromas of acacia honey, brown butter, oak spice and mint. Quite sweet but only moderately thick; shows a resiny oaky quality in the mouth. 1999, 1998 and 1997 Bordeaux (May 2000)

The 2015 Tour de Pez appears to offer limited depth and overall complexity, with faded, washed out flavors and little complexity.

Finally: Bordeaux 2015 In Bottle (Jul 2019)

The 2015 Les Fiefs de Lagrange has a generous bouquet with red cherries, strawberry and light red currant jus aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated, and a little more gregarious in style than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with a powdery texture, a fine bead of acidity, quite sharp and citrus in style…

2015 Bordeaux: Every Bottle Tells a Story… (Feb 2018)

The 2015 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is a very pretty second wine. Plump, juicy and delicious, the 2015 will drink well upon release and for another handful of years thereafter. Juicy red cherry, plum, new leather, licorice and dried herbs all add nuance to this attractive Saint Julien. Bright floral and citrus notes liven up…
