Full red-ruby. Musky aromas of currant, graphite, tobacco leaf, menthol, herbs and smoke are sexed up by a captivating candied quality. Densely packed and chewy but suave, with good peppery, herbal lift to the very ripe dark berry and mineral flavors. Not the ripest vintage ever for this wine, but that’s not a bad thing…

Good full medium ruby. Superripe, exotic aromas of roasted currant, smoked meat and cocoa powder. Sweet, lush and silky, with compelling depth of texture and an intriguing gamey note. Very long finish features lush tannins.

2006, 2005 and 2004 Bordeaux (May 2007)

Bright ruby-red. Expressive nose offers espresso, mocha and smoked meat. Silky, suave and seamless, with a rare opulence for the year. There’s a distinct sweetness to the flavors of currant and tobacco. Finishes with very fine, ripe, building tannins and a note of chocolate.
