The palate is medium-bodied with ample black fruit laced with graphite, sage and cracked black pepper. Wonderful depth and grip here, fanning out nicely towards the finish where there is a soupçon…

The 2010 Clarets: A Modern Classic (Jul 2013)

Bright red-ruby. Medicinal aromas of black cherry, cassis and licorice. Classically dry and cool but with good mid-palate texture and ripeness. The medicinal quality carries through to the persistent finish but the tannins avoid coming off as dry. Very successful for this estate.
