Bordeaux 2018: Back in Black Without Scores (Apr 2019)

The 2018 Chasse-Spleen is especially dense and fruity in this vintage. Dense red cherry fruit, espresso, mint, dried flower and licorice are all generously rendered in this gorgeous, incredibly delicious Moulis. More than anything else, Chasse-Spleen has a gorgeous sense of immediacy and pure pleasure.

2003 and 2002 White Burgundies (Sep 2004)

Aromas of mirabelle , apple, pear, menthol, flowers and oak. Chewy and deep, with strongly oaky flavors of pineapple, nectarine and nut oil. More massive and less detailed today than the Chevalier-Montrachet. Finishes very long and solid, with a tannic impression. There’s just a single new barrel of this juice.

2011 and 2010 White Burgundies (Sep 2012)

(aging in a single new 300-liter barrel): Iodine, spices and smoky oak on the nose, with a peach quality emerging with air. Dense, sweet and broad, with sexy minerality and musky smokiness. Large-scaled but not heavy. Lower in pitch than the Chevalier and not quite as long on the dry, firm finish. But this is…
