2017 Barolo, Part 2: The Late Releases (Oct 2021)

The 2016 Barolo Rocchettevino opens with pretty aromatics, but the tannins and overall structure feel pushed and out of balance. Perhaps in time, the 2016 will find better integration. Today, it is disjointed and aggressive, with bruising tannins that show little, if any, sign of ever relenting.
